pandemic, many families are left without access to their everyday basic essentials. The novel coronavirus, which has caused several to lose their source of income, coupled with the closures of most schools — which countless children rely on for regular meals and the travel restrictions for safety reasons, has left the vulnerable in our society struggling to survive without the risk of endangering their lives as well as those of their loved ones.
On the heals of the We Care initiative in North Leeward, House of Ellis on Sunday 19th April, 2020 in conjuction with Renitta Peters-Morris and Dillon Moris of the Windward Carnival Committee, donated care packages of essentials items to fifteen households from Diamonds to Orange Hill in the North East side of the island. The packages were delivered by House of Ellis team members and came as a surprise to the recipients.
President and Founder McGregor Lance Ellis said that he has witnessed first hand the toll this crisis, especially the restrictions and lockdown, has on the less fortunate in the United States and wanted to ensure that anyway or form there was help for those in SVG. “Giving back to the communities we serve (one of the missions of House of Ellis) is more important now than ever,”
Mr Ellis explained, “We are fortunate enough to be able to support community based businesses
