Twelve teams are registered to compete in the 2020 South East Development Inc. Stubbs Football League, set to kick off this Sunday at the Stubbs Playing Field.

Preliminary competition will be in two zones, each comprised of six teams.

Yoland London, President of the South East Development Inc., assured that the competition will be played under COVID-19 related protocols.

In addition, London said, “We expect a high level of discipline and play from players and management of every team. We also expect an injury free tournament with no incidents caused by spectators or players. We have not had to deal with any severe issues and hope that continues.”

The President emphasized, “The Objectives remain the same: to provide the villagers with the opportunity to showcase their talent with the intention of being drafted into clubs and ultimately the national team; and to provide an avenue for entertainment through sport.”

Volcanoes are the defending champions of the Stubbs Football League.
