St. Vincent and the Grenadines today confirmed one (1) new COVID-19 positivecase.
The adult non-national arrived on December 23, 2020 with a negative PCR, tested negative on entry screening and tested positive on day four (4) to seven (7) testing.
The visitor will continue in isolation until cleared by two (2) negative tests.
Contact tracing, retesting and quarantining of the December 28, 2020 cluster and wider screening of the Vincentian population for COVID-19 cases will continue
during the week of January 4 to 8, 2021.
The postponement of the opening of school for the January term will allow for a thorough search aimed at further containing the local spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines has now recorded one hundred and twenty-three (123) cases of COVID-19. Ninety-nine (99) have recovered and twenty-four (24) are active.
All positive cases will continue to be isolated until cleared by two negative
tests.
The protocol for the entry of travellers to St. Vincent and the Grenadines has beenrevised.
Effective January 4, 2021, travellers from Barbados now categorized as a
high risk country, must quarantine in an approved hotel for ten (10) days.
Also changed in the revised protocol applies to travellers from countries categorized as medium risk, who will now have to spend five (5) days in an approved hotel.
