Members of The Rotary Club of St. Vincent collaborated with the Salvation Army Children’s Home and Friends on Sunday March 21st 2021 and treated the children to a fun day out at a local beach for some downtime and fun in the sun.

The relationship with the Salvation Army Children’s Home began in earnest in 2020 when
the Rotary Club of St. Vincent reached out to provide service to the children through academic support, reading time, and social engagement in an effort to boost their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

As part of the fun initiative on Sunday, the children received routine dental check ups compliments Rotarian Dr. Francois Truchot of Dental Arts Clinic, and a sumptuous lunch
compliments Café Soleil. President Annette Mark and other Rotarians present were able to socialise with the children, engaging them in outdoor games, swimming and boat riding
    – a positively memorable and enjoyable event for all.

The Club expresses sincere gratitude to Ms Kathleen De Guzman, one of the organisers of this day out, Coach Kyle Dougan of Black Sands Swim Squad, Captains Jake Heimann
and Michael Brackin, Café Soleil and all Rotarians and friends of Rotary for so readily contributing to the successful execution of this event.

The Rotary Club of St. Vincent remains committed to opening opportunities for the development of our youths and children through avenues of service in our local community.
