    The Public Health Department to hold Food Handlers training

    The Public Health Department within the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment will be conducting Food Handlers’ Sessions for food handlers on the following dates, time and venues;

    Barrouallie and North Leeward

    Thursday 16th June, 2022, from 1.00 pm, at the Barrouallie Health Center.
    Friday 17th June, 2022, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, at the Chateaubelair Health Center, This session would facilitate food handlers from Chateaubelair and Petite Bordel.
    Monday 20th June, 2022, from 1.00 pm, at the Spring Village Health Center. This session would facilitate food handlers from Spring Village and Coulls Hill.
    Wednesday 22nd June, 2022, from 1.00 pm, at the Troumaca Health Center. This session would facilitate food handlers from Troumaca, Rose Hall and Rose Bank.

    Kingstown
    Wednesday 15th, 22nd & 29th June, 2022, 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm at the Public Health Department conference room, in Kingstown.
    Friday 17th & 22nd June, 2022, 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm at the Public Health Department conference room in Kingstown.
    Tuesday 21st & 28th June, 2022, 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm at the Fisheries Conference room upstairs the Kingstown Fish Market.

    This training is undertaken to register food handlers.

    Please note that failure to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate is a breach of the Public Health Act, 1977, and is guilty of an offence.

    Persons desirous of selling food for the Carnival season are asked to please make a special effort to attend any of these training sessions, and to be on time.
