Unvaccinated travelers to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines who have tested negative for COVID-19 will not be required to quarantine as of August 30, 2022.

The move comes as draft entry protocols were “Seen, accepted and approved today in Cabinet,” Government Senator and Parliamentary Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs, National Security, Legal Affairs and Information, Rochard Ballah told us on Tuesday.

In the document by the Health Services Subcommittee of the National Emergency Management Organization – NEMO, the protocol for entry of unvaccinated travelers to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was revised on August 18, 2022.

The Cabinet-approved document states that, “Unvaccinated travelers to St. Vincent and the Grenadines MUST ARRIVE WITH a negative SARS-Cov-2COVID-19 test result.”

The test must be either a negative result of a COVID-19 RT-PCR done no more than seventy-two (72) hours or three days before arrival, or a negative SARS-CoV-2 antigen test done 24 hours before arrival.

Unvaccinated persons “may be retested for COVID-19 on arrival in SVG,” the document says.

The Cabinet-approved document further states that, “unvaccinated travelers to St. Vincent and the Grenadines WILL NOT be required to quarantine in a Tourism Authority/MOHWE approved facility once the arrival COVID-19 test is negative.”

Unvaccinated travelers are also not required to fill out the pre-arrival health form.

The changed entry protocols are set to take effect on August 30, 2022.

The protocol may be revised at any time at the discretion of the Health Services Subcommittee, the document stated.
