    Miss SVG contestant Shannan John has ended her 7 days community based project with a bang.

    On Saturday , September 24, she hosted an Anti-Violence extravaganza and launched Vermont’s new football team ‘Vermont FC’.

    Students were tasked with bringing their Anti Violence poems, drawings and posters in order to win prizes.

    They also participated in some traditional games such as lime and spoon and sack race in which they also won prizes.

    John, with the assistance of CEDCO was able to sponsor Vermont FC. They played the RSVGPF and came out victorious with a score of 3-1.

    Speaking with media personnel, she said, “This experience was an emotional roller coaster but I came, I worked, and I achieved”.

    Some of John’s other activities included a Meet and Greet, CPR and Self-Defense training, Launch of Vermont Unite Website, Dubois Buccament Government School Visit, Community Clean Up and the New Vermont Nature Trail Sign located at Vermont Gap in Rillan.
