Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has described the protest action which took place in Kingstown last week by members and supporters of the New Democratic Party (NBC) as a “A Complete Failure of Leadership” by the NDP.

Last Week’s came as the Government won the election petitions filed by New Democratic Party following the General Elections of 2015.

Acting High Court Judge Stanley John last week dismissed the election petitions filed by New Democratic Party candidates Lauron Baptiste and Ben Exeter.

The Petitioners were seeking to have the elections of December 2015 in North Windward and Central Leeward respectively declared void.

During an interview on the OMG Radio program on BOOM Radio hosted by Dwight “Bing” Joseph, earlier this week Prime Minister Gonsalves said “Its complete Failure of Leadership by the NDP, you want to tell me a Court makes a decision you going on the streets to protest against the Court?”.

Prime Minister Gonsalves questioned “What confidence can people have in a political party which wants to bring all institutions to the rubble?”

He said “They were trying to bring the Police down, they trying to bring the courts down, they want to bring everything down, so what happen they want to burn all the intuitions to the ground to preside over what…the ashes?”

Prime Minister Gonsalves said “I don’t know of any political party in the history of this country that has taken to the streets to protest against a judgment of the court”.ffffffff
