Organizers of the Secondary School Bands Showcase which was held last weekend, are pleased with the success of this year’s event.
Saturday’s event featured young and upcoming Musicians from 15 Secondary School Bands and one from the Community College Showcasing their musical talent at the E.T. Joshua Airport site, at Arnos Vale, under the theme: Bringing a Modern Approach to Music Education.
Co-ordinator of the event, Rodney Small says the showcase is part of continuing efforts to develop the Creative and Cultural Industries in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Mr. Small says last Saturday’s showcase was well received by members of the public and he expressed gratitude to all who assisted in making the event possible.
The Showcase was a collaborative effort of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education and the SVG Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union.;\lsdp
