A new executive have been elected to run the affairs of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cycling Union (SVGCU)for the next four year(2023-2027)
The new Cycling Executive is
President –Shimano Bailey
Vice President -Peter Durant
General Secretary -Sezevra Joseph
Treasurer- Rosheda Richards
Public Relations Officer -Des-Marie Greenaway
Trustee – Marlon Antrobus
Cycling Representative – Deptor Culzac
Immediate Past President- Trevor ‘Sailor’ Bailey
Following last week Saturday 18th March, 2023, election, the new President after being elected thanks everyone especially his dad Trevor ‘Sailor’ Bailey “for the decades of contribution that he has made to the development of cycling locally, regionally and internationally and also former Treasurer Martin Bollers for his contribution to the sport over the years.”
“Cycling is in my genes; it is what I live and love.” The new President explained adding “I know that I could not have pedalled away from this moment, knowing that my dad named my brothers and myself after bicycle brands.”
” It has been proven that the bicycle has been an agent of social change and will continue to be. “
“The current executive has a great deal of mileage in their legs and experience administratively, together, we will continue to keep pedalling, the young Bailey said “
Bailey explained that the new executive will meet within the upcoming days to plan the way forward.
Immediate Past President- Trevor ‘Sailor’ Bailey, prior to nomination stated that he was not running for re-election.
