    The Department of Culture within the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture will be hosting a three (3)-day workshop

    The Department of Culture within the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture will be hosting a three (3)-day workshop at the Peace Memorial Hall.


    These sessions include
    Thursday July 20th, 4:30 p.m. – “Let’s Talk Business” – “Dance and the PRYME Initiative and “Principles and Practices”
    Friday July 21st, 4:30 p.m. – “Bone Health and Nutrition” – “Dance Anatomy” and “A Healthier You”
    Saturday July 22nd, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – “Dance Intensive Training” – “Mind Matters” and dance technique training in Modern, Folk, Latin and Hip Hop.


    All dance enthusiasts are invited. Persons are asked to contact the Department of Culture at telephone number 451-2180, or visit the page of the Department of Culture, St. Vincent and the Grenadines on FB


    Co-ordinator and Dance Development Officer, Ms. Juanita Phillips, states that the aim of the workshop is to further promote the development of dance in SVG and to provide dancers with an opportunity to engage in the various aspects of dance growth.
    She also emphasized that dance development training plays a significant role in the growth and advancement of dancers as well as the overall development of the artform such as skill enhancement, artistic growth, professional preparation, physical fitness and emotional well-being, personal growth, self-confidence, flexibility, cultural preservation and exploration and most importantly collaboration and teamwork among dancers.
