Dougan, GCMG, OBE, Governor-General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines will visit Taiwan from October 7th to 11th 2023 to attend the 112th National Day Celebrations of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) warmly welcomes Her Excellency’s visit.

Ambassador Fiona Huei-Chun Fan had the pleasure to send Governor-General Dougan and her delegation off at the Argyle International Airport (AIA) and stated Her Excellency’s visit will further deepen the profound friendship and cooperation between our two countries.

Governor-General Dougan visited Taiwan in 2008 as the Chief Education Officer of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. This is Her Excellency’s first visit as the Governor-General. Other highlights of the itinerary include a call at the SVG’s Embassy in Taiwan, and a meeting with Vincentian students studying in the country, as well as visits to the National Palace Museum, Taipei 101 Building and Taipei Botanical Garden.

The robust friendship between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines enters its 42nd anniversary this year, and the friendship remains everlasting.
