    Hon. Carlos James Donate Computers to North Leeward Technical Institute

    Parliamentary Representative for the North Leeward Constituency, Hon. Carlos James donated
    eight (8) desktop computers to the North Leeward Technical Institute (NLTI) during a brief
    handover ceremony at the NLTI on Thursday, 5th October, 2023.
    Citing the coming on stream of the Sandals Hotel at Buccament Bay, along with other planned
    investment in hospitality services along the leeward coast of mainland St Vincent, James said the
    NLTI will help to prepare young people in North Leeward and neighboring communities to seize
    the opportunities that will become available.
    Hon. James, who holds ministerial responsibility for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable
    Development and Culture, said various hotels have expressed a willingness to partner with the
    North Leeward Technical Institute as part of efforts to prepare persons for work in the hospitality
    sector.
    Meanwhile, the constituency representative for North Leeward also visited the Chateaubelair
    Learning Resource Centre on October 5 th , to examine ongoing work at the site.
    Minister James said the Chateaubelair Learning Resource Centre is being retrofitted to
    accommodate the staff and students of the Fitz Hughes Government School. He explained that
    the relocation is necessary because significant work has to be done to refurbish the Fitz-Hughes
    Government School.
