    POLICE LAUNCH INVESTIGATION INTO A REPORT OF AGGRAVATED BURGLARY

    Officers stationed at the Questelles Police Station have launched an investigation into a report of Aggravated Burglary by a 57-year-old Truck Driver of Campden Park which occurred in Campden Park on Saturday 20th January 2024 between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

    According to preliminary information, the victim was assisting the proprietor of the Hill’s Mini Market located in Campden Park when three (3) masked men entered the business place and ordered everyone to lie down on the ground. The victim refused and confronted the assailants. He was shot with a gun in both arms and abdomen. The assailants also stole $1500.00 in cash from the mini-market and escaped in a white car.

    The police were notified about the crime and responded promptly. The crime scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit (CSU) and items of evidential value were retrieved.

    The victim was transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital where he was warded in a stable condition.

    The police are following several leads in the investigations. Three (3) suspects were taken into custody and interviewed. One was discharged pending further investigations.

    The police are encouraging anyone with information that can assist with the investigation of this and other crimes to call 911/999, the Questelles Police Station at 1784-456-1750, ext. 4932, or any police station or police officer they are comfortable speaking with. All calls will be treated confidentially. The investigation is ongoing.
