Bruce Calls on Caesar to Finish What They Started Instead of Making More Empty Promises

Senator Israel Bruce has called on Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar, to finish what they started instead of making more and more empty promises. Over the last two weeks, the NDP has highlighted the derelict Montreal greenhouse park as an example of wasted money by the ULP government. In responding to a question in parliament on Thursday, the Agriculture Minister said that the ULP government would build another 35 greenhouses.

Senator Bruce said, “The state of the greenhouse park at Montreal represents a huge waste of money but more importantly shows a complete lack of respect for our famers. Rather than making more empty promise, it would be great if the Minister and the government work on getting things done. The Montreal greenhouse park has been in disrepair for years and the minister’s comments showed how out of touch they are when it comes to what is happening on the ground.

We have a plan to build agriculture as one of the four pillars of the economy. The ULP does not have a strategic plan nor vision for the agricultural sector. The ULP has totally failed to plan ahead to ensure that farmers could sell to sandals. Every day is just more and more examples of the failures of the ULP government.”
