H2O is back this year and is expected to be better than ever.
Luke Boyea, Businessman/Promoter of the event confirmed that the highly anticipated fete during the Vincy Carnival period will be making a come back this year after an absence last year.
It will be held at a new location, Boyea said – Penniston and is scheduled for July 5.
“It is a stunning venue with a lot of new attractions,” Boyea told ANN.
He said that he did not want to give away too much too early but explained that the event was going to be held on private property at an all-natural location.
In terms of the artistes, Boyea said that he was unable to disclose who the guest artistes would be.
However, he noted that H2O has never really been about the artistes in terms of the promotion.
“We usually have the cream of the crop from St Vincent and have some guest performers,” Boyea said.
The event was previously held on the hard court located just outside the Arnos Vale Playing Field.
There was no H2O in 2023 after Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves announced that government-owned schools and hard courts could no longer be used for fetes.
According to Gonsalves, the facilities are damaged during the staging of such events, making it clear that fetes can take place at other locations.
