Kingstown, June 14, 2024 — Police have arrested and charged two men in connection with the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. Ronald Audain, 21, a labourer from Prospect, and Nicholas Audian, 34, a chauffeur from Cane Hall, were apprehended on June 12, 2024.

Authorities allege that the men were found with a .45 Smith & Wesson pistol and eleven rounds of .45mm ammunition, neither of which were licensed under the Firearms Act. The alleged offence took place in Arnos Vale.

Both suspects appeared before the Serious Offences Court on June 13, where they pleaded not guilty to the charges. The court has remanded them in custody pending their trial, scheduled for June 25, 2024.
