The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has announced the launch of two dynamic summer programs aimed at engaging and educating youth during the vacation period.

According to a release from the RSVGPF, the SVG Coast Guard Summer Program will commence on July 15, 2024. This program, tailored for teens aged 14 to 18, offers hands-on training in seamanship, navigation, maritime safety, and boat handling. Participants will also explore the history of the Coast Guard Service in SVG and gain essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and financial literacy. The program is sponsored by the Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

In addition, the Police Band Summer Program will run from July 23, 2024, to August 23, 2024, under the theme “Harnessing Young Minds During Summer Time.” Designed for children aged 9 to 15, this program provides an opportunity to learn various musical instruments. It also includes developmental activities and presentations from various departments within the RSVGPF and other institutions, promising a comprehensive and enriching experience.

Registration forms for the Police Band Summer Program are available at the Police Band Room in Old Montrose. The RSVGPF encourages all interested individuals to register and take advantage of these exceptional opportunities. For more information, the public can contact the Public Relations and Complaints Department of the RSVGPF or the SVG Coast Guard Service at (784) 457-4554.
