A black cattle valued at $5,000.00 ECC has become the centerpiece of a praedial larceny case involving three men from Mesopotamia and Greiggs.

On August 25, 2024, police arrested and charged Kala Henry, a 36-year-old mason, Omario Ottley, a 26-year-old laborer, both of Mesopotamia, and Lynron Prince, a 37-year-old laborer of Greiggs, with conspiracy to commit praedial larceny. The men are accused of conspiring to steal the cattle between July 16 and July 20, 2024, in Argyle.

The trio appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate Court on August 26, where they all pleaded not guilty. Kala Henry was granted bail of $2,500.00 ECC, with conditions to report to the Mesopotamia Police Station twice a week. However, Ottley and Prince were denied bail and remain in custody until a review on September 4. The case has been adjourned and will proceed to trial at the Biabou Magistrate Court on October 4, 2024.
