St. Vincent Brewery Limited (SVBL) has stepped forward to support employees who reported property damage following Hurricane Beryl, which ravaged St. Vincent & the Grenadines. Recognizing the challenges faced by those whose homes suffered roof damage or flooding, SVBL has extended financial assistance to six of its employees to aid in their rebuilding and recovery efforts.

“We are deeply committed to supporting our community and our employees during this challenging time,” said Kimon Baptiste, PR & Media Analyst at SVBL. “In an effort to assist those in Union Island and Bequia after the hurricane, our company quickly procured and dispatched two fishing boats filled with food supplies and water to support the immediate recovery effort. We also made a further donation of beverages through the St. Vincent Rotary Club as part of their larger scale efforts. At the brewery, we recognize that our employees are the heart of our business, and we wanted to ensure their well-being during this difficult period.”

Under this aid initiative, the brewery engaged a contractor to assess the damage at each affected home. Based on these professional assessments, SVBL offered the impacted employees a maximum of USD 2,000 each to assist with immediate repairs.

“We are very grateful to the company for this assistance,” said one staff member. “My roof was damaged in Beryl. This support helps us start the repair process, so we are better prepared for the future.”

Country Manager Shafia London commented, “The financial assistance provided by St. Vincent Brewery is in solidarity with our local community and is part of our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility. We hope that our contributions will provide some relief as they work towards restoring a sense of normalcy to their lives. St. Vincent Brewery is part of our community, and we firmly believe that by standing together, we can overcome adversity and emerge stronger.”
