The Blue Marlins Swim Club emerged victorious at the recently held Shrewsbury Aquatic Centre (SAC) Invitational Swimming Championships, held from 20th – 23rd February, 2025. The Club amassed a total of 1391 points over the four day period, winning the championship cup for the 3rd consecutive time. This however, was the 4th time that the Blue Marlins Swim Club has won the competition. The swim club also captured 6 out of a possible 10 age group titles.
Raya Adams and Zane Da Briel dominated the 8 and under age group, capturing the female and male championship titles respectively. Saj Caesar topped the male 9-10 age group. Belle Adams attained maximum points, to cop the female 11-12 age group title. Jadon Hamilton outswam his rivals in the 13-14 age category. Hazen Da Briel proved to be a force in the 15 and over age group, capturing the male title in his first year of being in this age group.
A total of 28 athletes swam under the Blue Marlins banner and together they amassed a total of 153 individual medals.

Caghry Williams – 3 gold, 9 silver.
The other swimmers who helped to secure this victory were Mikhaela Adams, Hadassah Baker, Jod Baker, Savannah Francis, Rui Gordon, Khloe Hackshaw, Zaryah Samuel and Xyon Sealey-Nicholls.
Blue Marlins entered 4 teams in the mixed medley relay: An A and B Team for the 10 and under age category, and another A and B team for the 11-14 age group. Both A teams won gold and the B teams won bronze.
Alyssa Davis was the lead coach in the preparation of the swimmers, and said that she wanted to congratulate all the swimmers on a job well done. She further encouraged the swimmers to work even harder moving forward. The coach also congratulated the Black Sands Swim Squad on a job well done, and for good, healthy competition. The other coaches who helped in the swimmers’ preparation were Tizanna Poyer, Rickydene Alexander and Tamarah St. Hilaire.
