Beaches® Resorts has announced an ambitious expansion plan, investing nearly US $1 billion to double its presence over the next five years. This initiative includes new resorts in Barbados, Exuma in The Bahamas, and Runaway Bay in Jamaica, as well as a significant expansion of its Turks and Caicos property.

Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Beaches Resorts, unveiled these plans at the company’s global launch event, “Made of Caribbean,” in New York City. He emphasized the brand’s commitment to enriching family experiences, stating, “Our growth strategy is rooted in meeting [our guests’] wants, with the importance of family time being at the core of our brand’s DNA.”

    Beaches Barbados

Scheduled to break ground in late 2025, Beaches Barbados will feature 600 rooms, ranging from king suites to expansive four-bedroom suites with private oceanfront balconies. Designed in ‘Bajan Style,’ the resort will include a ‘Main Street’ offering dining, shopping, and entertainment options, such as outdoor performance stages and a modern sports bar.

    Beaches Exuma, The Bahamas

Marking the brand’s debut in The Bahamas, Beaches Exuma will transform the existing Sandals Emerald Bay property. The resort will reconfigure 249 rooms into various accommodations, including multi-bedroom villa suites. Amenities will encompass 12 restaurants, a Kids Camp, a splash park, a full-service Red Lane Spa, and the brand’s exclusive partnership with Sesame Street®. Guests can also enjoy complimentary green fees at the Greg Norman-designed 18-hole Emerald Bay Golf Course.

    Beaches Runaway Bay, Jamaica

Located between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay on Jamaica’s North Coast, Beaches Runaway Bay will offer approximately 400 expansive suites and villas, designed for extended families. The resort will feature wellness areas, activities like skateboarding and bike trails, a climbable treehouse, and access to the Runaway Bay Golf Club’s 18-hole championship course. Organic farm-to-table dining will also be available.

Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos

The new Treasure Beach Village will add 101 suites to Beaches Turks and Caicos, bringing the total to 858 keys across six villages. Accommodations will include large four-bedroom villas along the beach, accommodating up to 10 guests each. The village will debut a food hall featuring international dining options and introduce Butch’s Island Chophouse to the brand. Reservations are now being accepted.

These developments follow recent expansions at Beaches Negril in Jamaica, where new three-story Firesky Reserve Villas accommodate up to 10 guests, and the Eventide Penthouse Collection welcomes up to 18 guests with access to a rooftop terrace.

This extensive expansion underscores Beaches Resorts’ dedication to providing unparalleled family vacation experiences across the Caribbean.
