Families across South Windward are gearing up for a day of joy, games, and giving back as the eagerly awaited Uncle Darron South Windward Easter Family Fun Day unfolds this Sunday at the Stubbs Playing Field April 20, 2025.
The event, organised by educator and community activist Darron Rodan John, promises to deliver a fun-filled atmosphere aimed at fostering family bonding and community spirit. Activities will include 5-a-side football matches, face painting, dominoes, a trampoline, and a bouncing castle, ensuring entertainment for all ages.
But beyond the laughter and festivities lies a greater purpose.
This year’s Fun Day will raise money for Romaire John, a courageous two-year-old boy battling leukemia who urgently needs life-saving treatment overseas. Donation stations will be positioned throughout the venue, and volunteers will be ready to share Romaire’s story and provide information on how to contribute.
“While we come together to enjoy ourselves, we also want to remember those who are facing tough battles,” said event John, affectionately known as Uncle Darron. “Let’s stand together for Romaire.” Under the banner #HereToHelp, the event embodies a commitment to compassion and community unity.
John, who is also a lecturer at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College and a doctoral candidate in Business Administration, is known for his tireless work uplifting families and empowering young people.
“Whether it’s through a kind gesture, a community clean-up, or a life-saving fundraiser like this one, we remain committed to building a brighter, more caring future, one family at a time,” he added.
Uncle Darron’s Family Fun Day promises a blend of entertainment with empathy, creating a space where joy meets generosity.
All are invited to attend and be part of a day that promises not only to entertain, but to inspire.
