DeAndre McDonald, a 26-year-old barber from Glen, has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old Ronaldo Adams, also of Glen. The charge stems from a violent incident that occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, in the vicinity of a barbershop in the community.
Adams sustained multiple chop wounds during the altercation and was rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he later died. Police responded swiftly, securing the scene and collecting evidence through the Crime Scene Unit (CSU).
McDonald was taken into custody shortly after the incident and has been assisting with the investigation. He is set to appear at the Serious Offences Court on Monday, May 19, 2025. As the charge is indictable, no plea will be entered at this stage. A preliminary inquiry will be conducted before the case proceeds to the High Court.
The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force continues to investigate and urges anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at (784) 456-1810, Police Control at (784) 457-1211, or any trusted police officer.
The RSVGPF extends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
