    Calypso Monarch to perform at No 6 in finals

    The defending Calypso Monarch would perform at number Six on Dimanche Gras night.

    At a meeting held Sunday to select places for the finals, the monarch was offered the opportunity to select which postion he would like to sing .

    Maxwell “Tajoe” Francis would perform in the 1st position in the competition followed by Robert “Patches”Knights. Shena Collis would perform at number three, the postion she has performed in for three consecutive years in the finals .

    In position number 4, Denis Bowman would take the stage followed by former Calypso Monarch Elvis “Abijah” Abbey . The defending monarch Zamfir “Man Zangie” Adams would perform at Number 6.

    Lornette ” Fyah Empress”Nedd would take the stage in position Number 7 followed by Fitzroy “Brother Ebony ” Joseph at number 8 .
    Roland “Chico B” Veira would sing at number 9. The Reigning Queen of Calypso Shaunelle McKenzie would take stage in position number 10 followed by Clepotra at number 11 and Joanna Christopher at number 12.

    The RSVGPF band would do back stopping for all calypsonians.

    The winner of the Calpyso Monarch competition would receive $25,000 while the other competitors would receive $2000 dollars as apprerance fee

    Dimanche Gras is slated for Sunday, July 7th at Carnival City, Victoria Park.
