An elongated area of low pressure presently located near 10N 45W or about 1100 miles ESE of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, has been generating widespread disorganized showers over the past 24 hours. There is reduced (40%) chance of a depression forming east of the Lesser Antilles, as the area of low pressure moves west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. However, un-favourable conditions are expected result in degeneration and it could be a strong tropical wave crossing the island chain.

There is reduced (40%) chance of a depression forming east of the Lesser Antilles, as the area of low pressure moves west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. However, un-favourable conditions are expected result in degeneration and it could be a strong tropical wave crossing the island chain.

Regardless of development; cloudy skies, with occasional moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely over St. Vincent and the Grenadines from late Sunday and persisting into mid-week. Thus, residents are urged to monitor the progress of this system and any updates issued from the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Service.

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Service will continue to monitor conditions and provide the necessary updates/advisories.
