Three persons are nursing gun shot wounds, one critical following a shooting last evening in Heritage Square. Among the wounded and in critical condition at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital is Auxillary Police Officer Kurtland Jack.

The shooting took place during the weekly Friday evening Lime at Heritage Square.

One source told ANN that they just ”heard shots and persons started running.” When the dust settled three persons were shot, two men and one woman.

The sister of the injured police officer told ANN that he received two gunshot wounds, one to the neck and the other to the abdomen.

He was unresponsive following the shooting. At the writing of this report Jack was in surgery.

The other two victims are said to be in stable condition after being treated.

Nothing is known of the shooter and what might have occasioned the discharge of the weapon.

ANN would continue to update this story as information comes to hand.
