    WINDIES BEAT ENGLAND-ICC WOMEN’S T20

    West Indies Women squeezed out England Women by 4 wickets in a thrilling finish at the Daren Sammy Stadium in St. Lucia last night to claim top spot in Group “A” of the ICC Women’s Twenty/20 World Cup, and a semi-final against Australia.

    The final scores: England Women 115 for 3 off 20-overs, the West Indies Women 117 for 6 off 19.3-overs.

    Yesterday’s earlier match, also at the Darren Sammy Stadium in Gros Islet, St. Lucia, South Africa Women beat Bangladesh Women by 30 runs.

    The scores: South Africa Women 109 for 9 off 20-overs, Bangladesh Women 79 for 5 off 20-overs.

    The semi-final line-ups will see West Indies Women facing Australia Women in the 1st semi-final on Thursday, and on Friday, India Women will meet England Women in the 2nd semi-final.

    The matches will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Ground at North Sound in Antigua and Barbuda.
