Teachers at the Union Island Secondary School are planning a walk out. This comes amidst the Ministry and the principal allowing a male teacher who allegedly showed “pornographic movies” to students during school hours in a science laboratory to continue teaching while the investigation continues.
The teacher has also been accused of bullying students for them to change their story.
This comes after the teacher was asked that he minimize his contact with students until a determination on this matter is finalized.
In a letter that was sent from the Deputy Principal to the Principal. It was expressed that meetings were held in December that discussed the issues.
The letter further went onto add that the Probation Officer as well as the Union Island police were briefed on the matter and may be required by law to act in a situation as such.
Sources close to ANN expressed that teachers at the school are planning a walk out if the matter is not addressed soonest.
