The Accountant General in a press release on Wednesday said that due to the time of the increase and the scheduled date for the running of government monthly pay role, the treasury was unable to process the increase and back pay in time for January 2019.

The release said that the back pay and increase to public sector workers, pensioners, parliamentarians, daily paid and minor salaried workers will be paid during the month of February.

The release further stated that some categories of non- pensionable workers will receive their re-numeration with their weekly and fortnightly salary, while others will receive it with their monthly February salary.
