Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has commended the members of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Special Olympics team for their recent outstanding performance at the Special Olympics in Dubai.
Dr. Gonsalves was delivering remarks at a Cocktail Reception which he hosted at his official residence last night, in honour of the Special Olympians.
He expressed gratitude to the Government of the United Arab Emirates for helping to make it possible for St. Vincent and the Grenadines to participate in the 2019 Special Olympics.
The 25-member team of Vincentian Special Olympians won seven gold, six silver and four bronze medals, plus eight ribbons for 4th, 6th and 7th places at the 2019 Special Olympics in Dubai last month
