VOB – Barbados has recorded homicide number 32, the second murder for the week when a man was fatally stabbed at Fairchild Street in the city in the early hours of this morning.

The deceased whose name has not yet been released by the police was reportedly involved in a dispute with a man at Nelson Street where he was stabbed about 1:45 am.

The victim ran to nearby Fairchild Street pursued by the alleged attacker who reportedly caught up with him at the entrance to the Fairchild Street Bus Terminal.

The victim was again stabbed. Bystanders notified police of an ongoing altercation and when they arrived on the scene they found the wounded man.

An ambulance was summoned and the victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) where he was pronounced dead.

Earlier this week Barbados has recorded its 31st murder for the year when Ackeem Leon, one of two men shot on Tuesday night at Bank Hall, St. Michael, passed away at the QEH. A suspect is in police custody.
