Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Wednesday 10th July,
2019 – The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation
will host two female friendly matches on Saturday 13th July at the
Campden Park Playing Field and on Sunday 14 at the Diamonds
Playing Field as a feature match at the reopening of the
Diamonds Football League. Both matches will be played at 2:30
p.m. and 3:00 p.m. respectively.
These games will be played against West Rouge Storm; a club
from Canada who will be visiting the country from Thursday 11th
July to Thursday 18th July.
While in the country, the SVGFF has also organized an outreach on Tuesday 16th in which the Canadian
delegation will be divided and placed in rural areas to conduct
training camps with females who are currently playing football
and those who aspire to.
The aim of this outreach program is to
mentor and educate young ladies of the importance of marrying
sport and education.
The venues for the camps are as follows:
Campden Park Playing Field
Brighton Playing Field
Golden Grove Playing Field
London Playing Field
All are asked to go out in support of Lady Heat.
The SVGFF is also urging parents in the surrounding areas of which the
camps are being held to encourage their daughters to come
