    Windwards Under-19 Rising Stars arrive for tournament

    KINGSTOWN, ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES; THURSDAY JULY 25, 2019 – The first group of Windward Islands Under-19 Rising Stars arrived on island this morning, days before the 2019 Cricket West Indies Regional Under-19 cricket tournament bowls off at three venues in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

    The 2019 tournament runs from July 28 to August 06th and will be played at the Cumberland Playing Field, the Parkhill Playing Field, and the Arnos Vale Cricket Grounds.

    Arriving from Grenada via the Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados, were Jamie Buddy, Seandell Regis, Ronel Williams, Teddy Bishop, and manager Randel Baptiste.

    Arriving from Saint Lucia minutes later were skipper Kimani Melius, Simeon Gerson, and Ackeem Auguste, while the Vincentian players in the persons of Jeheil Walters, Carmalo Cain, and Tijorn Pope joined them at the team hotel in Kingstown later today.

    The Dominican players in Taj Tavernier the vice-captain, Lincoln Durand, Savio Anslem, and Malakai Xavier, along with coach Mervin Thomas will arrive in St. Vincent and the Grenadines from Dominica via Antigua and Barbados on Friday evening, July 26.

    Hosts Windward Islands play their first match in the 2019 tournament on Sunday July 28, 2019 against Guyana at the Arnos Vale Cricket Grounds.Windwards Under-19 Rising Stars arrive for tournament
