In the wake of an increasingly violent series of gun related assaults in the Diamond area, comes another harrowing encounter for yet another villager.

So when I look around I just saw this guy out ah nowhere, I didn’t even see where he came from or nothing like that, he was in all black hoodie and everything.

The place was dark so I couldn’t recognize who the person is. I don’t know who the person is ‘cause I didn’t hear no talk from anybody up to this day.

I recognized he had a shot gun because the way he was holding it and the crank the gun make I realized it was a shot gun…”

Faced with sudden danger and not knowing whether the assailant’s intent was merely to rob or to kill him, the youngster fled from his yard with the gunman on his heels.

“From the time he crank it that is what get me extra frighten and I just had to run. Ah fall down and bruise up me knee and everything like that…I run away from my house ‘cause my mother and my sister and my niece was inside sleeping…”

Luckily for this youngster, who claims to have no known enemies, the gunman quickly abandoned the pursuit without burglarising his home.

The matter was since reported to the police who have showed some success in apprehending gunslingers in the area.
