    Additional measures to curb the spread of the Coronavirus

    Police press release

    With reference to the press release from the Office of the Prime Minister re: “Closure of Union Island, Canouan and Bequia as ports of entry for yachts and vessels” dated March 27, 2020. The general publics are hereby advised to take note and adhere to the following:

    1. The Island of Mustique has been added to the list of ports of entry that have been closed to yachts and vessels;

    2. Operators of omnibuses have been advised to confirm to the social/physical distancing guidelines by allowing on only one (1) person to sit in the front passenger seat and; no more than three (3) persons on the other seats;

    3. All passengers arriving in the state from China, Iran, South Korea, United States of America (including Puerto Rico), United Kingdom, European Union (including Italy and overseas departments of France (Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Martin, French Guiana and Canada are reminded that you must self-quarantine for 14 days. This is not optional. Failure to self-quarantine will result in the issuance of a court order for your mandatory quarantine.

    Be further advised that the Police and Ministry of Health officials will be strictly enforcing the court orders.

    Your cooperation and compliance is hereby solicited as we seek to curb the spread of COVID-19 in SVG. Remember, you have a role to play in minimizing
