On 04.09.2020, Rolando Cato, 19 years Labourer of Redemption Sharpes was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition and with discharging a loaded firearm.

According to investigations carried out, Cato allegedly had in his possession one (1) firearm and one (1) round of .38 ammunition without a license issued under the Firearms Act. He was additionally charged with unlawfully discharging a loaded firearm within one hundred (100) yards of the public road. The incidents occurred about 9:50am on 04/09/2020 at Redemption Sharpes.

The accused appeared before the Serious Offences Court and pleaded not guilty. He was denied bail and remanded into custody. The matter was adjourned to October 12, 2020.
