Brooklyn, NY and Atlanta, GA – Oct. 4, 2020 –Squeeze Cash, the Caribbean’s first multi-currency mobile payment solution and Sionic, a leading provider of connected and mobile commerce services, have joined forces to launch the Squeeze Cash app stateside, offering users mobile payments and rewards. Caribbean and US Diaspora users of Squeeze Cash, the Caribbean’s largest mobile payment app, can now shop at thousands of leading US outlets in-store and online.

Users will earn rewards points that can be redeemed like cash when they make contactless, mobile purchases at major bookstores, restaurants, hardware and department stores, sporting goods outlets, and other retail merchants.

The partnership will allow Squeeze Cash app users access to Sionic’s Mobile Rewards Marketplace. From within the app, they can present an eGift Card, rendered in real-time for the exact amount of their purchase, to the merchant at the point-of-sale (POS). The digital gift card contains a barcode and/or card number and PIN that the merchant will scan or key in to complete the purchase.

“We are very excited to be partnering with Sionic, a leader in mobile commerce technology. Getting access to their large network of brands will help us to take Squeeze Cash to the next level,” said Kenrick Quashie, Co-founder and CEO of Squeeze Cash. “This partnership is a big deal. It comes at a time when we are now able to facilitate cash-outs to our US users, and is part of our continued commitment to develop innovative ways to give our users more value and greater options.”

For US users, especially those who are part of the Diaspora community, it means that the Squeeze Cash app will not only be used to send remittances to family and friends, or during travel to the Caribbean, but it can now be utilized to carry out everyday purchases. Caribbean users can use the Squeeze Cash app when they travel to the US or from home, since many of the transactions can be done online. It also eliminates interchange fees and other forex costs, such as card fees when local debit and credit cards are used to facilitate foreign transactions.

“We are pleased to partner with Squeeze Cash as they embark on expanding operations into the US market,” said Ronald Herman, Founder and CEO of Sionic. “Utilizing our Mobile Rewards Marketplace to offer their users new ways to make contactless payments and earn rewards makes the Squeeze Cash app even more compelling, especially during a time when consumers are looking for safe, alternative ways to pay at merchants.”
