Statement from CWSA: The CWSA wishes to notify consumers on all its water supply systems that the prolonged period of heavy rainfall in the interior has resulted in mud flows into ALL river intakes and as a result, this has significantly reduced the quantity of water taken from the rivers and has also significantly reduced storage volumes.

Consumers are therefore asked to activate home water storage plans in the likely event the water supply to your area has to be interrupted during the day, tomorrow, Friday October 30th 2020.

The CWSA again wishes to remind customers that we are still in the hurricane season when emergency interruptions in water supply due to adverse conditions remain a distinct possibility.
