The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) continues to build on its growing list of skilled and qualified Police Officers, as another officer makes a remarkable contribution.

This officer is Acting Corporal 604 Aleea Stapleton of Rose Hall/Layou. Stapleton, an Officer with thirteen (13) years of service has been awarded a Master of Science Degree in Management Studies with Distinction, from the University of the West Indies (UWI).

Acting Corporal Stapleton first obtained university certification in 2015, when he graduated from the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean, Jamaica with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology. Attached to the Public Relations and Complaints Office, Stapleton has always been a vibrant young officer and has utilized his knowledge in an innovative push of the organization with respect to media relations and communications.

In September 2018, Stapleton enrolled at the University of the West Indies Open Campus, St. Vincent and the Grenadines to pursue his degree and completed his course of study in December 2019. His degree certification was, however, conferred to him on March 6th, 2020.

According to the Acting Corporal, the true satisfaction he hasgained from obtaining such an accomplishment was not garnered from the award received at the end, but from the journey, which encompassed his struggles and achievements over the course of his studies.

In an interview, the again stricken degree holder, said: “I pursued this course of study so that I can assist my organization to build for the future and in so doing, provide a better future for my family, who have sacrificed and stood by me all this time”.

Officer Stapleton wishes to express thanks and appreciation to God; his immediate family (wife and mother in law), for their support and their encouragement; the police organization; and his deceased Grandmother, who he claimed shaped him to endure at all cost.

Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John and the rank and file members RSVGPF extends congratulations to Acting Corporal Aleea Stapleton on his achievement.
