    ONE NEW CASE FROM THE UK

    St. Vincent and the Grenadines today confirmed one (1) new COVID-19 positive case.

    One adult non-national arrived on December 20, 2020 with a negative PCR and tested positive on exit screening. Contact tracing of these cases has commenced.

    No further COVID-19 cases related to the recent cluster of local spread have been detected during testing on December 31, 2020 and January 1, 2021.

    The total number
    of cases in this cluster therefore remains at six (6). Contact tracing, retesting and quarantining by the COVID-19 Taskforce team will continue, aimed at further
    containing the local spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

    St. Vincent and the Grenadines has now recorded one hundred and twenty-two (122) cases of COVID-19. Ninety-eight (98) have recovered and twenty-four (24) are active.

    All positive cases will continue to be isolated until cleared by two negative
    tests.

    The Commissioner ofPolice has banned amplified music in public places and private place with access to the public.

    This ban applies to all events including church services.

    All mass gatherings without amplified music must comply with all of the
    measures of the Mass Gatherings Protocol including documentation of patrons, physical distancing, mask use and hygiene measures.
