    TRAFIC CHIEF CELEBRATES 38 YEARS SERVICE

    On 14.03.2021, Head of the Traffic Department, Superintendent of Police, Mr. Kenneth John will reach a milestone in his career. Supt. John will be celebrating thirty-eight (38) years of service to the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) and the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

    Superintendent John was enlisted in the RSVGPF on 14.03.1983, and has garnered a wealth of experience and knowledge over a long career within the organization. Supt. John is the only member out of a batch of fifty-one (51) officers who enlisted with him who is still in active service. He is also the longest serving member of the organization and is called “Senior Supt” by his colleagues.

    On completion of his initial training at the Old Montrose Police Training School, then PC 496 John was briefly assigned to the Special Services Unit. He was later transferred to the Traffic Department where he is now serving for over 30 years. He has been the head of the traffic department for twelve (12) consecutive years, having assumed that role in July 2009.

    According to the superintendent, looking back at his career, some of his greatest achievements since he took command of the Traffic Branch are as follows: –
    A general reduction in road accidents, despite the yearly increase of motor vehicles on the streets of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
    Easing the congestion of vehicular traffic at Arnos Vale area during rush hours and; Supervised the training, education and elevation of the young officers within the traffic department.

    Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John and members of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF extend congratulations to Supt. Kenneth John on his achievement and unwavering service to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force as a whole.
