On 23.05.2021 police arrested and charged Michael Milton, 38 years old Painter and Deron Williams, 40 years old Fisherman both of Grenada, and Dwayne Richards, 40 years old Farmer and Bertram Simmons a 53 years old Farmer both of Fitz Hughes with the offenses of possession of a controlled drug, drug trafficking and with attempting to export a controlled drug.
According to investigations, the accused men allegedly had in their possession “75,350” grammes of cannabis with intent to supply it to another. In addition, they were charged with having in their possession “75,350” grams of cannabis for the purpose of drug trafficking. They were further charged with attempting to export a controlled drug to wit “75,350” grammes of cannabis.
The incident occurred at Bequia on 21.05.2021.
The accused men are expected to appear before the Serious Offences Court to answer the charges.
