Weak unstable conditions linger across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), but a pocket of dry-air is expected to reduce shower activity across our islands during the night/early Wednesday. By Wednesday afternoon, cloudiness increases with an approaching tropical wave bringing moderate/heavy showers and thunderstorm activity across SVG by night-fall…Be alert; in areas prone to flash-flooding or near rivers and streams. Meanwhile, slight-moderate haze may be noticeable across our area and low-level clouds could trigger light-moderate showers on Thursday and Friday.

Moderate to fresh (20 – 35 km/h) south-easterly wind-flow could turn east north-easterly late Wednesday and increase near 40 km/h during the night. Strong to occasionally ‘high-wind’ (40 – 50 km/h) easterlies are likely across SVG by Thursday morning and wind-direction could turn east north-easterly with fresh (~35 km/h) trades by Thursday evening.

Slight sea-conditions in open water; are near 0.5 m on the west and 1.2 m on the east of SVG, with swells from the east north-east. Northerly swells are likely on east coasts during Wednesday and swell heights could start rising during the night, to near 1.8 m on the west and 2.5 m on the east of SVG by Thursday with easterly swells…Small craft-operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution for rising sea-swells and occasional gusty winds
