    Boy,7, dies after being knocked down

    Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a motor vehicular accident that resulted in the death of a 7-year-old pedestrian. 

    The victim is Jaden Bobb of Barrouallie.  

    According to reports, Leron Gordon, 40, a chauffeur of Chateaubelair was driving from Chateaubelair heading towards Kingstown when around 7:15 am along the public road in Kertons, Barrouallie, his vehicle collided with Jaden Bobb.  

    The child, who was a student of the School for Children with Special Needs, was in the company of his grandmother at the time of the accident. 

    The little boy was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations. 

    A post mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death.  

    This is the fifth fatal accident recorded for 2021 in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
