A group of past students of the St. Vincent Boys’ Grammar School donated a football kit to their Alma Mater. Akin John, a past student of the school who shares a good relationship with some of the donors, handed over the kit to the school at a ceremony this morning.
The inspiration behind the donation came about after Guevara Leacock, Keon Quashie, Marlon Martin, Devon Dickson, Ashawn Williams, Sadique Jack, Ramon Warrican and others discussed ways of assisting their former secondary school.
The Boys’ Grammar School has a rich sporting history and with sports seen as a way of bringing the nation’s youth together and aiding their all-round development the decision was made to assist with the cost of a complete football strip.
The former students stated their desire to assist further where possible and hope that this donation brings the team much luck when they participate in the next inter secondary school football tournament.
