Members of the RSVGPF were this morning seen cordoning off the area around the Buccament Bay Secondary School after having discovered the body of a female inside a vehicle. Dead is 40-year-old Luann Roberts of Harmony Hall. Roberts, a counsellor at the Family court.

Her body was discovered by the police, who were carrying out a search for her after they received reports that she was in possible danger. According to a source, the boyfriend is said to have told a family member on Saturday that he had already killed Luann and that is when the family member made a report to the police.

The body of the Family Court counsellor was found wrapped in a sheet with blood stains.
Ronald Roberts, 47, the boyfriend of the deceased is currently at the Layou Police Station assisting the police with the investigation. He was apprehended when he was making his way to his sister’s home in Buccament Bay.

Roberts’ death is the third murder recorded in the country over the Labour Day weekend and the eleventh for the year. On Friday 29 April, Vandyke Duke, 40, was shot and killed in Golden Vale. Kishroy Duke, 22, was also shot at the same time but succumbed to his injuries at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital on Saturday 30 April.
