By now all concern, interested, and involve in soccer must have arrived at an opinion from analysing the just concluded senior Concacaf female tournament performances and results, as well as the two games played by the senior male team on the 3-10-6-22.

Please be aware, what you already know, or should know must hurts, do not be naive.

I wish all would consider before sharing their findings, that since the inception of receiving ‘The Development Fund’, there is an allotment of 2% for female development, and in September 2020, the SVGFF Executives announced they received $1.3 million to develop female players. No soccer was played in 2021 due to COVID-19.

Do you all think those funds from 1992 to 2020 have been spend on developing females soccer? From their performances, it looks as if the funds are not enough, or they have not been develop properly, due to COVID-19 a senior female team participated in 2022 and again did not qualify.

All the players, teams and clubs in SVG are developed by coaches who are ‘not paid’. They are the ‘billy buttons of soccer in SVG’. The executives are paid, and those who travel with their team as coach, along with the ‘billy buttons’ to make sure they participate to receive the next Development Fund.

The team hardly qualify, and this has been happening for 30 years, just at any attempt at every tournament. This the executives cannot recognize that ‘the system’ need changing also the team’s preparation.

Parents, guardians and families are very dissapointed as their children practice in vain. They are fed-up of hearing the same ‘nice’ excuses after poor performances and results again and again. No Under-17 females were given the opportunity to see and show what they learn, they have been sending U-15 to tournament instead. Five years they are left to prepare, all different kind of changes take place because of the lack of proper preparation including no competitions.

USA, Mexico and Canada will be representing Concacaf at the World Cup in India and maybe executives. Imagine Puerto Rico came forth, they stated long after SVGFF females. Remembrer the Male Senior team scored seven against them at Arnos Vale in their second world Cup attempt.

    To be continued.
