    Police weekly report on Crime

    On 30.09.22, police arrested and charged Ronjay Slater, 19 years old Labourer of Green Hill with the offence of Wounding with Intent.
    According to the investigations, the Accused allegedly unlawfully and maliciously wounded a 35-year-old Farmer of the same address by chopping him with a cutlass and stabbing him with an ice pick about his body. The offence was committed at Green Hill at about 6:00 pm on 24.04.22.


    The Accused appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Monday, October 03, 2022, to answer the charge and pleaded not guilty. Bail in the sum of $8000.00 with one surety was granted. He was ordered not to contact the virtual complainant and report to Central Police Station every Monday between 8 am and 8 pm. The matter was adjourned to Friday, November 18, 2022.

    On 30.09.22, police arrested and charged Shakelia Gibson, 26 years old Unemployed of Kingstown with the offences of Damaged to Property and Assault Bodily Hard.
    Investigations revealed that the Accused without lawful excuse, damaged one (1) black Iswag cellular phone valued at $349.00ECC by slamming same on the ground. The property of a 31-year-old Fisherman of Old Montrose. The incident occurred at Tyrell Street, Kingstown about midday on 28.09.22.
    Gibson was also charged with assaulting a 53-year-old Labourer of Kingstown by striking him with a cutlass on his right shoulder, causing Actual Bodily Harm. The incident occurred at Higginson Street, Kingstown at about 11:55 pm on 04.09.22.
    Gibson appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate Court on Monday, 03 October 2022 to answer the charges and pleaded not guilty. Station bail was continued.

    At 11:22 pm on 01.10.22, police arrested and jointly charged Zeroy Patrick, 49 years old Mason, Nigel Robertson, 45 years old Labourer of Vermont, Karon Bowens, 30 years old Unemployed, and Giovannie Grant, 19 years old Unemployed of Ottley Hall with the offence of Handling Stolen Goods.
    The defendants are accused of having in their possession fifty-four (54lbs) of mutton reasonably suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained at Ottley Hall at about 9:45 pm on 30.09.22
    The defendants are expected to appear at the Serious Offences Court to answer the charge.

    At 2:50 pm on 01.10.22, Romando Andrews, a 30-year-old Labourer of Clare Valley was arrested and charged with the offence of Handling Stolen Goods.
    Reports are that at about 11:00 am on 15.09.22, the accused allegedly had in his possession one (1) Black “65” inch Sharp Television reasonably suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained at Murrays Village.
    The Accused appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate Court On Monday, 03 October 2022 to answer the charge and pleaded not guilty. Bail was granted in the sum of $1500.00 with one surety. The matter was adjourned to Monday, 14 November 2022.

    At 10:50 pm on 03.10.22, Curt Haywood, 43 years old Security Guard of Dauphine was arrested and charged with the offence of Grievous Bodily Harm.
    The defendant is accused of unlawfully and maliciously inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm on a 63-year-old Self-Employed of the same address by striking him on his right shoulder and his head with a wooden desk. The incident occurred at Belair at about 4:00 pm on 14.09.22.


    The Accused is expected to appear at the Serious Offences Court to answer the charge.
