Schooled at infancy, that “If you can’t say good say nothing,” it’s with genuine reluctance I penned what follows, but like MLK Jr. my creed is, he who passively accepts evil is a participant!
I was honoured to be Prime Minister Gonsalves’ discussant in reviewing his latest book, “A Time of Respair…” especially following Professor Beckles, discussant for the New York launch. The exercise was highly praised save and except by the shamelessly lying demagogue, Leroy Thomas, self-christened Jomo, while proudly bearing the slave name “Thomas.” Compound doltishness! Criticism is fundamental to democracy.
However, this self-proclaimed universal polymath, all but burst his aorta in a bellicose attack on Gonsalves’ production and my commendation of same. This dim-witted, hateful, asinine buffoon, admitting he hadn’t read the work, shrieked, “It’s not worth the paper it’s written on!” Common sense dictates that you should study anything you wish to critique. 13 years ago, I defined Leroy as an intellectual crayfish. Please forgive that graciousness!
Leroy is egocentric to the infinite power, consumed by envy, enslaved by a Macbethian psych glorying in self-aggrandisement and an unquenchable thirst to be idolized, a self-serving unpatriotic ingrate of unfathomable hatred. These conclusions are grounded in solid facts of which I offer the shortlist.
A young woman was recently named Foreign Minister, a position Leroy covets. Indeed, he once declared he wanted this post with a 25,000 monthly remuneration. The lady’s appointment sent him berserk, releasing unfounded acquisitions of her for sins yet unknown. Wisely, she responded with scorn through dignified silence; the bitter fox still got no grapes.
Now SVG’s liar-in-chief (LIC), he claims to have a copy of correspondence written by Cecil Ryan encouraging his dismissal from SIF. Ryan publicly challenged him to table the evidence. We are still waiting! LIC propagated that Julian Francis called for him to be stoned. Recordings of Francis’ statement exposed this nasty falsehood. For years LIC claimed his election loss was ULP engineered. His tune now is that Jerry Scott is the culprit. Which is it? Truth is, neither. He maliciously, slanderously, and libellously lied that Gonsalves had turned the police on the people. And after receiving some “old thumps” from Dr. Jerrold Thompson, LIC rushed to social media misinforming inter alia that he deflected the blows. Everyone now knows this is patently false. Cartoonist Belly Full, had a field day.
His envy of Gonsalves is limitless, hence his disingenuous dastardly account of the book launch. The video recording of that event, freely available on the internet, shows attendees in rapt attention.
There are hundreds of photos taken by API and others, testifying same. I was engaged in constant visual contact with the audience scanning for my daughter who hadn’t arrived before the start. I saw a hall stilled by interest; all eyes trained on the stage.
Being omniscient Leroy now dictates future history, so upon our election as CELAC’s President, he definitively assures, Ralph will be remembered internationally, not at home. But Gonsalves’ nemesis Leacock fully supports naming AIA in Ralph’s honour! Hate blinds to truth, embraces illogic, vanquishes reason, and stuffs the soul with the ugly, creating a portrait of poisoned envy, namely, Leroy.
Dismissing WHO, PAHO, and our CMO, Leroy prescribes ivermectin the Covid-19 cure. Belly Full couldn’t resist depicting this jackass in a tie. There was a serious danger though. His idiocy could have been believed by some, thereby endangering theirs and the nation’s health. This is but one proof, his patriotism is fraudulent.
Being no psychiatrist, I refrain from pronouncing on Leroy’s mental state, but who posts on social media, and is first and only to like it? Who claims that Gonsalves sent Thompson to attack him; didn’t he meet Thompson there? Why trumpet, “If yo’ don’t read Jomo, yo’ not reading?!” What drives his ingratitude such that he daily chastises the benefactor who made him boss of SIF, a ULP candidate, Speaker of the House….? Sehon Marshall will recall that he and I organized a meeting between Mr. Grenville Williams and Leroy. The latter’s disgraceful display of empty arrogance led the former to ask, “Is this what you invited me here for?” I apologized to Williams then, and I publicly do so now! But doesn’t this all testify to a sick mind?
Carlos Ruiz Zafón postulates, “Envy is the religion of the mediocre. It comforts them…. finally it rots their souls, allowing them to justify their meanness…. until they believe these to be virtues.” Leroy is but tattered tissue of bile; a drifting vessel of venom awaiting ultimate shipwreck on a rock of reality in the desolate ocean of his egomania!
